Onça Pintada nº 1 (Jaguar nº 1), 1984
Acrylic paint on blanket
192,5 x 157,5 cm
Donated by Hilda e Pierre Eddé

Onça Pintada nº 1 (Jaguar nº 1) belongs in the initial production of the artist. The candid and central jaguar comes up by erasing excesses, i.e., the image results from painting that covers images that preexisted in the blanket. The previous image, the pattern on the blanked, a series object, is given a new identity, a work of art that unfolds towards new concepts, argues contemporary art's painting and supports, endorses the criticism of serial industrial production. It can also refer to an ecological appeal pro Brazilian fauna.
